Located in one of Minneapolis’s most beloved historic neighborhoods, the Lynnhurst Revival project centered around thoughtfully reimagining the back of the home to better support modern family living while honoring its original character. The existing kitchen and rear portion of the house were demolished to allow for an expanded kitchen footprint and the addition of a highly functional new mudroom and back entry.

Beyond the addition, the home was remodeled throughout, with each space elevated to reflect the quality, warmth, and architectural character expected of a historic Lynnhurst home. Custom cabinetry, carefully integrated details, and layered finishes were designed to feel original to the house, as though they had always belonged there.

Some of the project’s most memorable moments include a moody wine colored bathroom, arched nooks filled with character, and richly detailed millwork throughout the home. A refined material palette of marble, quartzite, white oak, and unlacquered brass adds warmth, texture, and timelessness to the updated interiors.
